On the palate, this has excellent balance with crisp acidity. It is fairly full in body, with plenty of juicy fruit intensity, but is refreshing and long, with a lively citrus and stone fruit finish. A Barbury Hill favourite. • Food match: excellent with spicy dishes, roast pork or as an aperitif. Pinot Blanc 2018• Awards: Gold medal Independent English Wine Awards 2020• Tasting note: dry with pear and primrose on the nose and pink grapefruit, melon and sweet fennel on the palate. It has zippy acidity balanced by a touch of sweetness which lasts well into the lengthy finish. • Food match: excellent with smoked fish and goats cheese• What the critics say: Received 17/20 by Jancis Robinson on 17 April 2020, where she described the wine as "complex and beautifully balanced."Bacchus 2018• Tasting note: Bacchus is floral on the nose with orange peel and grapefruit on the palate.
