Bakery Number Eight is run by Megan, a talented Bristolian baker with an enthusiasm for gooey cookies, zesty cakes and brownies. With a lifelong passion for quality ingredients and a keen palate, Megan has taken inspiration from over a decade of working within the travel industry. During research trips, as well as reviewing restaurants, Megan has honed her baking skills through cookery classes in Japan, South America and the Middle East. Expect to see some interesting flavour combinations, such as the distinctive Japanese matcha and white chocolate cookie. Delicious. What she’s started is one of the most exciting developments in Bristol since the Clifton Suspension Bridge first opened in 1864. We went to visit Megan’s kitchen recently where we found her completely dedicated to her new venture and brimming with excitement to have unleashed her talents before the nation.
